Lead Infrastructure Architect (Data Centre / Cloud)
- 6 month contract (with option to extend)
- Large-scale Infrastructure Transformation Program
- Leading Telco
Due to an urgent requirement this leading Australian telco are looking to hire a Lead Infrastructure Architect to take on a key role in leading a matrix team of solution architects on a major Data Centre and Infrastructure refresh program, set to run throughout 2012.
Reporting into the IT Transformation Program Manager you will work closely with the Strategy Lead on the Program and be responsible for defining and selecting the new solution, based on major components of Private and Public Cloud technologies.
You will lead a team of between 4 -6 Architects within the Program Technical Stream, and be responsible for providing assessment and recommendations on key technology selections in line with agreed strategy.

- Driving the creation and getting buy-in to an aligned future state IT infrastructure architecture.
- Understand current state architecture and delivery programs to contribute to delivering migration and transformation plans.
- Work closely with existing IT teams e.g. Data Centre, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Applications to ensure the future state solution is understood and agreed with.
- Ensure compliance to architectures, policies and strategies.
- Working with 3rd party vendors, including evaluation of proposed solutions.
