Senior Contracts Manager

The company:
A leading development group with an extremely long history of creating award-winning master planned residential communities; this highly regarded organisation focuses very heavily on the development of their people and have created a fantastic working environment. Established in Australia for over 50 years they are one of the country’s most recognisable property groups with exposure across commercial, residential community, retail, and retirement sectors.  With a extremely strong pipeline of work, they are looking to add further strength to their Senior Management Team and now require a Senior Contracts Manager.

The role:
You will have full responsibility of the delivery and management of construction contracts and consultancy agreements.  Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will have a procurement focus across a national portfolio of development projects and work with the Project Management, Cost Planning and Design teams on the residential communities’ side of the business.  You will also assist with financial reporting and analysis of the projects and where appropriate you will also lead the tender process. Having responsibility for the management of contract administration functions and identifying and managing project risk and review costs, you will manage detailed budgets and relationships with key stakeholder groups to achieve successful outcomes.

The requirement:
You will have 10+ years experience in the building/construction industry with demonstrated commercial acumen and have experience over a broad range of projects up to $200mil.  To be considered you must have a strong understanding of the civil aspects of a development and have experience in multi-stakeholder projects.  You will be able to demonstrate your ability in financial analysis and cost reporting.  A degree in an Engineering/Construction/Project Management/Quantity Surveying or related discipline is extremely desirable.  You must be highly organised, have demonstrated experience in the negotiation of supply and construction contracts, and/or sub-contracts.  Predominantly based in NSW, this role will also require some travel nationally. You will be a driven, ambitious, results focussed leader with excellent communication and people management skills.
